And sophomore year comes back to haunt us

I find it unbelievable to see that our (Jolie's and my) high school history teacher was truthful about something. Maybe he read the same lens on squidoo as I did.

A String of Words

I've always made these weird, poetic, half deep, half unrealized stupidity-type phrases in my head. I'm sure you have done this too. They're always a string of words that don't have any significance to my current life, thoughts, or feelings, but they sort of just sound--I don't know--poetic, I guess. I wish I could gather them up someday, publish a book, and have someone--some random passerby who happens to read said hypothetical book--and make some meaning or deep connection out of it. Wouldn't that be neat?

a blog entry at last...

i apologize to the "cruel, harsh blogging world" for the lack of a sooner entry...but thanks to lyra's constant nudging, here it is. first to understand the following entries, the going ons in of jolie's mind might be helpful. most of the time her mind is engaged in:
1. a lot of useless thinking
2. followed by forgetting
3. then remembering it
4. and finally losing that thought to the other chaotic going ons in her mind
so as you can assume this entry that ur reading is not as imagined in jolie's mind but something entirely different as that entry receded into the depths of the unknown.

Lyra's World

Although this second post is supposed to be about my life, personality and, in general, "About Me" section, I'd like to take a side trip to say, "HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!"

Knowing that Jolie still hasn't posted anything yet on account that she's "not good at the whole 'witty' thing," I shall resume my post as founder and admin of this blog and post first...

Lyra was born on the premise that the name would be a pseudonym, a way in which to connect reality to the thoughts and complex systems of her mind. Well, the inner workings of Lyra’s mind are as follows:
1. She has a short fuse, anything objecting her peaceful state of content shall perish.
2. Her inner sarcasm hides the scarred life which she has led in the past.
3. Cute things = happiness ^_^
And, well, that’s about it to her simple mind.

creative title, ne?  Anyway, welcome to the wonderful fantastigorical blog of Jolie and Lyra.  With your hosts/narrators Jolie and Lyra.

How it all started....
On the lovely day of February 17, 2007, Lyra (aka Ariel) decided that she was so incredibly bored that she had to make a blog.  But seeing as the blog world was a mysterious and often unfriendly world, she decided to drag Jolie, Lyra's friend, into this magical world.  Thus, landing them here, in this blog with no fancy template, no nice eloquent words of class, no working title to present to the world with.  All they had were each other and their mathematically and scientifically inclined brains to lead them through this harsh, cruel world, that is THE BLOG.
